APRIL 22 DAY 13 AMSTERDAM NATIONAL PARK ZUID-KENNERMERLAND

Leaving the hotel we caught the Tram to the Central Station. It promised to be a warm and sunny day

Across from the tram stop is the impressive Stadsschouwburg Theatre

We caught the train to Overeen. There we met Merel's friends Martin & Jantine

Martin was to be our guide today while Rutger had an easier day

A brief stop to record the meeting of two old friends before entering the National Park

We followed the Blue Trail up and down across the Dunes to the beach and the Parnassia san Zee for lunch

We wave goodbye to Merel & Jantine. We will meet them at lunch

Nice and flat to start

Not for long as the path gained elevation

Water break with a view

Cross marking the spot where the bodies 21 resistance members were found shot by the German Occupiers.

Tough going in the sand

Rewarded with fine views

Impossible to keep the sand out

A rest and time to admire the dunes
