We arrived in Valkenburg ready for lunch
Streets were jam packed with restaurants and bars
Meeting up with Merel & Susan P again
We agreed to explore the town ourselves and meet back 3:30 pm. Did you hear that Evelyn?
After Helen & I had lunch at Cafe Gusto we decided to explore the Castle Ruins
After climbing the steps and not seeing the entrance to the Castle Helen quit and went back into the Town Centre
I found the entrance around the other side of grounds paying 7 euro to enter the ruins. The castle was unique in that it was the only castle in the country to be built on a hill. It suffered heavily over the years with wars against the Spanish and French

We caught the 4 pm bus back to Gulpen and from there the bus to Schweibergerweg
